1. Purpose of the platform
Souley Petitions is designed to let people create, share, and track petitions in a
transparent, review-based system. It is not a government platform, and it does not
guarantee that any authority will act on a petition.
2. User responsibilities
- Use clear, respectful language in all petitions and comments.
- Only submit petitions that you genuinely care about and that are factually grounded.
- Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
- Respect local laws and regulations when creating petitions.
3. Prohibited content
You may not use Souley Petitions to create or promote content that:
- Contains hate speech, harassment, or threats toward individuals or groups.
- Encourages violence, self-harm, or illegal activities.
- Spreads explicit misinformation intended to mislead or harm.
- Includes sexually explicit, exploitative, or abusive material.
- Is spam, scams, or purely promotional with no genuine petition intent.
4. Review and moderation
- All petitions may be reviewed before being fully accepted.
- Admins can accept, decline, flag, or delete petitions at their discretion.
- Moderation decisions may include a note visible in your inbox.
- Flagged content may be hidden or removed without prior notice.
5. Signatures and IP-based limits
- Each IP can sign a given petition only once.
- Attempts to bypass this limit (e.g., using bots or VPN rotation) are prohibited.
- Signatures are for visibility and community support, not legal voting.
6. Data and privacy (demo notice)
This demo version stores data locally in your browser (localStorage). In a production
deployment, petitions and signatures would be stored securely on a backend service with
appropriate privacy and security controls.
7. No guarantees
- Souley Petitions does not guarantee that any petition will be accepted.
- Souley Petitions does not guarantee that any external authority will act on a petition.
- Use this platform as a tool for expression and organization, not as a legal channel.
8. Enforcement
- Violations of these terms may result in petition removal or access restrictions.
- Admins may act quickly to remove harmful content to protect the community.
- Repeated abuse may lead to permanent blocking of IPs or accounts (in a full deployment).
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated over time. Continued use of the platform after changes means
you accept the updated terms.
By continuing to use Souley Petitions, you confirm that you understand and agree to these
Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
